Friendly food corner staff. Ordered the chicken Kabab sandwich with a side order of shirazi salad. Reasonably priced and taste is authentic

I came here to buy some stuff for the viral Dubi chocolate, and ended up leaving with a few extra treats! I love this store, can't believe this was my first time going. They have so many pastries, candy's, different verities of olives, syrups and so much more. They also have halal food if you're looking for it. The staff was very friendly when I asked for help to find an item. Will be going back to try their Kabob counter.

If you're on the hunt for an amazing Middle Eastern market, this place is a gem. I've been exploring markets in Montgomery County for over 20 years, and hands down, this one is my favorite. They have a huge selection of items from all over the Middle East, so whether you're looking for honey, preserves, spices, snacks, fresh produce, or even something more niche, they've got it. It's super organized, clean, and easy to navigate, which makes shopping here a breeze. The prices are fair, the products are fresh, and I always leave with exactly what I'm looking for. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

I love this market for the trove of Middle Eastern goods, but I was blown away by the frittata sandwich I bought at the deli. As a vegetarian, I was happy there was an option for me, but I was even more delighted when I bit into the goodness that was this sandwich. Imagine an herb-stuffed layer of egg topped with crunchy pickles and tomatoes, all encased in a warm hoagie roll. Pricey to be sure, but I would eat this every day for lunch if I could. Thanks, Yekta!

Pre-Covid, Yekta was one of our go-to restaurants for Kabobs. Unfortunately, after Covid, they have limited their services to carryout. The food is still as good as I remembered although I must say that the "freshness" of in-dining food is hands down so much better than carryout food. (This, is, of course, true of any dining establishment.) It would be nice if they start the dine-in option again. We remember the menu offerings were much more for the dine-in.

Yekta Market & Kabob Counter - My New Go-To for Kabobs! You know those days when a craving hits, and nothing but perfectly grilled kabobs will do? That's me, every now and then, and let me tell you, Yekta Market & Kabob Counter delivers the goods. It might not be a place to sit down and dine, but trust me, once you taste their food, you won't even care. I ordered the lamb kabob and koobideh -- and from the first bite, I was hooked. The lamb kabob was tender and juicy, grilled just right, with that perfect blend of spices that hits your taste buds and leaves you wanting more. And the koobideh -- flavorful, seasoned to perfection, and cooked with that authentic touch that makes each bite even better than the last. Every skewer felt like a flavor-packed journey, reminding me why kabobs are one of my favorite comfort foods. There's something about picking up my takeout, warm in my hands, and knowing that I'm about to indulge in some of the best kabobs in town. Yekta may not have a dine-in option, but they sure know how to do takeout right -- quick, fresh, and bursting with flavor. So if you're ever craving kabobs and want to taste some of the best around, Yekta Market & Kabob Counter is where you need to be. It's a hidden gem that I know I'll keep coming back to whenever that kabob craving strikes. You'll take one bite, and I promise you'll be a fan too.

I recently ordered the lamb kabob from Yekta Market's kabob counter, and while there were some hits, a few misses also stood out. To start with, I have to "commend" them on the clever use of grilled onion to bulk up the dish and make it appear like there's more lamb than there actually is. A sneaky touch, but I see what you're doing there) The taste, however, was quite good. The lamb itself was flavorful, which I appreciate. But there was a bit of confusion on my part. The menu mentioned a yogurt and rosemary marinade, which I was looking forward to. I assumed they would serve this marinade or sauce on the side too. A bit disappointing, as having a sauce would really help, especially since the rice was quite dry on its own. A side of sauce would have made a world of difference to the overall dish. Just a suggestion Overall, the food tasted nice.

We used to eat here occasionally when we lived in Rockville years ago. The restaurant has been here a very long time - a good sign - and the food is great. Not just a kebobery, Yekta has a variety of interesting genuine Persian dishes. This time we got Kashk-e-badmanjan as an app, Ghormeh Sabzi and Fesenjan as entrees. All were absolutely delicious, with interesting flavors and ingredients. The entrees come with Basmati rice and Persian flat-bread. The taste, the flavors, are exceptional. Prices and quantity of the entrees are reasonable. Because of price and quantity I would have otherwise given 4.5 stars. But prices are not inflated and more or less what you would expect. Again though, the food is exceptional. Hence, 5 stars.

Located inside an old strip mall with other markets from around the world, this woman-owned Persian market is a one-stop shop for Middle Eastern produce and goods. Park in the lot just outside and enter into a world of spice. In the back is a counter that sells popular kabobs and other grab-n-go items.
